I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
